Our director, Nicola Palladino is registered nurse with an active PIN. During her career, Nicola has delivered management and operational support to private hospitals, individual care homes and portfolios of care homes for some of the largest health & social care providers in the UK. Likewise, she has worked with smaller care providers enabling them to maximise profitability and build business resilience to manage future challenges.
Nicola also spent some time as an inspector for the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This experience coupled with her care home career has given her the unique ability to find practical, cost-effective solutions, to meet and maintain regulatory compliance for any provider of health & social care.
In recent years SCC has provided consultancy services to care providers to include support to register with CQC, challenge inspection reports and respond to warning notices and enforcement action. We have worked with individual care providers to maximise their earning potential through effective business, financial and marketing strategies targeting private sales. We have also supported home care providers to negotiate profitable contracts with local authorities and clinical commissioning groups.
